The moment you enter, you are greeted by warm decor, making it the perfect spot for a retreat from the hustle and bustle outside.
On a gray, rainy day, just like fellow patrons Peter Jiang and Emma, I discovered that this café is a gem for enjoying delightful beverages and pastries. The standout for me was undoubtedly the grapefruit earl grey cake, a perfect blend of flavors that danced on my palate and brightened up the dreary weather. As Amanda Marketon noted, the drinks are both attractive and delicious; I was particularly enamored by the peach earl grey drink, a refreshing concoction that perfectly complemented my sweet treat.

“ Such a cute cafe! I ducked inside during a rainy day to have a latte and a slice of cake and it was lovely. The grapefruit earl grey cake was delicious and the atmosphere is cozy and charming across several floors. ”
“ Lovely second floor cafe. Dropped in on a rainy day and sat and drank tea, watching people walk by with their umbrellas. The Google location is a little off, it’s located back out on the main street, with the entrance just across from the honey sweet dragon beard stores. There’s a glass door and signs and you go up one floor. ”

“ I was in the Insadong arts district on a hot summer day in Seoul and needed something stat to cool me down! Bingsu was at the top of my list so I googled the area and all signs pointed to Gabae Langsom Insadong Cafe just steps away for me! The cafe itself might be missed if not looking for it, however you’ll see a large sidewalk sign and homey entrance - walk up the steps and it’s on the 2nd floor. Of course the first language is Korean, however the clerk also spoke English. Prices would be considered on the higher end for Korea, but looking at the high reviews and me being thirsty I wasn’t about to compare. I chose perhaps the priciest Bingsu, hey it was “the new” item and she had me when she said it had strawberries, kiwis, and mandarin oranges. Yes! The cafe was busy and filled with local Koreans which was a nice sign. Mostly older aunties until a group of Korean kids dropped in. At 16,500 won or just under $12 for dessert most there must think I have Lee Jae-yong’s wallet, but no I don’t own Samsung lol. I was just craving Bingsu and this place seemed legit! My order ready as I noticed how aesthetically pleasing it was, a large heaping, and more importantly after that first bite I knew I’d be dancing to the latest from Aespa! So yummy! ”
“ Very cute cafe with multiple floors, you can look out into the busy walking street of insadong. Decent spot for resting. It is pretty quite on a weekday morning, but also there isn’t much cake options if you are there early. Got the cafe Vienna, hot green tea latte and a slice of grapefruit earl grey cake. Cake and cafe Vienna are just alright, my favorite is the green tea latte. ”
